The kitchen in the basement has been fully restored to its original state and is furnished in the style typical of the late 18th century.  Many of the kitchen utensils used at that time can be found in this authentic cooking area.

 

 

Every Victorian home needed a parlor in which to entertain important guests; however, this room was rarely used otherwise.  Discover which other occasions called for such a room and the resulting British name for it.

The victorian bedroom found on the main floor boasts a rope bed dating back to the 1850's.  Come visit us to learn the origins of popular bed-related expressions, such as "tying the knot."

 

 

One of the upstairs bedrooms has been converted into an early 20th century apothecary.  Filled with real medicines from almost a hundred years ago, you never know what you may find in this room.
